The BEATLES project held its online webinar, “Turning CAP Policy into CSA Action,” on Tuesday, 17 March, from 09:00 to 11:00 CET. Organised by project partner Q-PLAN International, the event brought together policymakers, researchers, practitioners, farmers, civil society representatives, and agri-food stakeholders to discuss how future EU policy and funding frameworks can better support Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA).
The webinar featured contributions from Blanca Casares Guillén and Serafin Pazos Vidal of AEIDL (European Association for Innovation in Local Development), who lead the BEATLES policy work. Their presentations explored the links between CAP Strategic Plans, the EU Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2028–2034, and future performance frameworks, highlighting funding opportunities and evidence-based approaches to strengthen CSA implementation.
Dr Anastasia Kannavou from Green & Digital also presented the PRUDENT project Toolbox, a practical instrument designed to help address regulatory gaps within the future CAP 2028–2034 framework. The Toolbox demonstrated how behavioural insights and green nudges can support more effective policy implementation, reduce administrative burdens, and encourage the uptake of voluntary sustainable practices.
The webinar gathered 58 participants and marked the final chapter of the BEATLES webinar series dedicated to sharing project knowledge, policy insights, and practical solutions for advancing Climate-Smart Agriculture across Europe.
